OGT News: Storm puts damper on eTech Ohio; IQ-ity wows crowd

Snow and ice effectively ended the 2007 eTech Ohio, the Ohio Educational Technology Conference, but not before thousands of attendees visited IQ-ity's Learning Suite Booth and glimpsed the future of online high schools.

IQ-ity's Learning Suite includes three components: the most advanced online high school curriculum, based on Class.com; an interactive whiteboard where teachers and students communicate in real time; and the OGT Prep Tool & Study Guide.

IQ-ity booth visitors picked up free packs of custom-printed M&Ms, green apple "stress reliever" foam balls and pens. They also entered the IQ-ity drawing to win a free 32-inch plasma television by Sony. That television was given away on Wednesday, February 14.

Dozens of attendees express their desire to see and hear more about the IQ-ity product. Many were so impressed that they returned to the booth several times with co-workers and supervisors.

Others signed up for a free trial of the OGT Prep Tool & Study Guide. The online practice tool for the Ohio Graduation Test is available now through September to school districts across the state at no cost.

The free trial period gives cash-strapped school systems the chance to use IQ-ity's OGT practice test and compare it to similar products on the market. Educators, especially those now using Study Island, are encouraged to take advantage of this free trial offer through the critical summer school period.
