OGT News: IQ-ity staffer to address OGT preparation at Ohio eTech
IQ-ity staffer Jamie Petree will discuss ways of "Attacking the Ohio Graduation Test" from 2 to 3 p.m. on February 12 at Ohio eTech, the Ohio Educational Technology Conference, set for the Greater Columbus Convention Center next week.
Petree will take attendees through a tutorial of IQ-ity's OGT Prep Tool, the only online practice test for Ohio high school students that is wholly aligned to the state's curriculum standards, benchmarks and grade level indicators.
This year for the first time, Ohio high school seniors will be required to pass all five sections of the OGT in order to receive a diploma. Petree will discuss the challenges this new requirement puts on educators and how technology can be used to meet those challenges.
She will look at the writing and reading portions of the OGT, as well as the science, math and social studies sections.
IQ-ity will also host an interactive display of its educational products, including the OGT Prep Tool, at next week's Ohio eTech. Professionals are invited to stop by the display and see what IQ-ity has to offer - especially the new free trial period for the OGT Prep Tool.
From now through September, Ohio school districts can use the OGT Prep Tool by IQ-ity for free. Cash-strapped districts that are seeking new and innovative ways to help students through the OGT are urged to compare the IQ-ity product to similar practice tests on the market during this free trial period.
