OGT News: IQ-ity staffer to address OGT preparation at Ohio eTech

IQ-ity staffer Jamie Petree will discuss ways of "Attacking the Ohio Graduation Test" from 2 to 3 p.m. on February 12 at Ohio eTech, the Ohio Educational Technology Conference, set for the Greater Columbus Convention Center next week.

Petree will take attendees through a tutorial of IQ-ity's OGT Prep Tool, the only online practice test for Ohio high school students that is wholly aligned to the state's curriculum standards, benchmarks and grade level indicators.

This year for the first time, Ohio high school seniors will be required to pass all five sections of the OGT in order to receive a diploma. Petree will discuss the challenges this new requirement puts on educators and how technology can be used to meet those challenges.

She will look at the writing and reading portions of the OGT, as well as the science, math and social studies sections.

IQ-ity will also host an interactive display of its educational products, including the OGT Prep Tool, at next week's Ohio eTech. Professionals are invited to stop by the display and see what IQ-ity has to offer - especially the new free trial period for the OGT Prep Tool.

From now through September, Ohio school districts can use the OGT Prep Tool by IQ-ity for free. Cash-strapped districts that are seeking new and innovative ways to help students through the OGT are urged to compare the IQ-ity product to similar practice tests on the market during this free trial period.

OGT News: IQ-ity to participate in upcoming eTech Ohio Conference

IQ-ity, Ohio's premiere online high school learning suite, will be on hand when the statewide Educational Technology Conference opens at the Greater Columbus Convention Center on Monday, February 12. Nearly 7,000 local, state and national educators are expected to attend the three-day conference, billed as eTech Ohio's top professional development opportunity.

IQ-ity's extensive interactive display at eTech Ohio will showcase the company's "E-school in a box," which includes a learning management system, whiteboard and OGT Preparation Tool.

Like competitor Study Island, IQ-ity's OGT practice test is online. Unlike the generic Study Island, IQ-ity's OGT Prep Tool is "home grown." It was designed expressly for Ohio high school students by the very same Ohio educators who review and approve the actual Ohio Graduation Test.

Educators planning to attend eTech Ohio are encouraged to schedule time in the extensive IQ-ity area for an exchange of ideas with the state's pioneer distance learning professionals. Attendees will see why IQ-ity is currently offering school districts a free trial of its OGT Prep Tool. This offer, good through September, gives financially-pressed school districts a chance to experience the OGT Prep Tool for free.

Districts currently using Study Island should be interested in this offer since it gives them a chance to "shop and compare" the effectiveness of IQ-ity's product without risk.

No special software or hookups are needed to take advantage of this special free offer from IQ-ity.
