Two high schools out of nineteen in Columbus had all of their seniors pass all five sections of the Ohio Graduation Test. Two other schools had nearly 30 percent fail at least one section. Schools with a higher percentage of minority or economically disadvantaged students did far worse. Before the test became a graduation requirement, the Columbus Africentric Early College High School had one of the highest graduation rates in the city. This year, however, it had the highest percentage of seniors who did not graduate, 29 percent, because they failed one or more sections of the OGT.
