Technical coordinators at Vanguard-Sentinel Career Center in Fremont say their phones ring off the hook if there's a glitch in Ohio Graduation Test data.
In an article printed in the Tiffin Advertiser-Tribune on January 19, district technology coordinator Dee Lohmeyer and assistant Tim Milazzo said they oversee functioning of 661 desktop computers, 142 laptops and 25 PCs. In addition, they must keep 176 printers, 50 projectors and 11 servers running. But maintaining the equipment is just part of the job. Lohmeyer said the working with Ohio Graduation Test data is another aspect of employment.
Lohmeyer crunches the OGT data and distributes student grades to the various districts served by the career center.
She said that is the most sensitive part of her job.
"If that doesn't work right, my phone rings off the hook," she said.
